2025 was a year full of travelling and exploring new places 🌏
From visiting Stockholm, to exploring the historic Athens, to travelling from Singapore to Hong Kong and Bangkok, and to end it with island hopping in Greece while sunbathing on Crete, Santorini and Mykonos - I am grateful for all the places I have been to and the memories I made along the way.

The Peak Tram has been climbing up Hong Kong’s Victoria Peak since 1888 - and it’s still one of the steepest and most scenic railway rides in the world.

At its steepest point? Nearly 50% incline. And the reward at the top? That iconic skyline view you’ve seen in movies, postcards, and dreams.

They call it the Temple of Dawn - but Wat Arun is magical at any hour 🌅✨

Rising gracefully over the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun’s central prang (spire) is covered in delicate porcelain mosaics that catch the light and shimmer like stars. Up close, the craftsmanship is breathtaking. From afar, it’s one of Bangkok’s most iconic silhouettes.

Despite its name, sunrise here is quiet and serene - but come sunset, the temple glows in warm gold as the river drifts by and longtail boats ripple across the water 🛶

✨ Did you know? The temple’s full name is Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan - try saying that three times fast 😄 The central prang stands at about 70 meters tall, and it’s decorated with pieces of Chinese porcelain that were once used as ship ballast.

Wooden boats, bold colors, sizzling pans - and the scent of mango, coconut, and grilled satay floating through the air 🌞🚣‍♀️🍢

Welcome to Damnoen Saduak, Thailand’s most iconic floating market, where chaos somehow flows as smoothly as the canals themselves.

Vendors in straw hats paddle their boats through narrow waterways, selling everything from fresh fruit and noodles to souvenirs and spices. It’s part market, part performance - and all unforgettable.

Tucked within the outer walls of the Grand Palace, this temple stuns from the first step. Gold gleams in the sunlight, mythical creatures guard the gates, and every mosaic seems to shimmer with a thousand tiny stories ✨🐉

The Emerald Buddha itself is surprisingly small - just 66 cm tall — but its spiritual weight is immense. It’s seated high above on a golden altar, dressed in seasonal royal robes that are changed three times a year in ceremonies led by the King himself.

✨ Did you know? Despite the name, the Emerald Buddha isn’t made of emerald - but of jade. It’s been revered since the 15th century and traveled through several Thai and Southeast Asian kingdoms before finding its home in Bangkok in 1784.

There’s something magnetic about Victoria Harbour - where time, architecture, and culture all seem to meet in the breeze coming off the water 🌊🏙️

From the historic Clock Tower that once greeted passengers of the Kowloon–Canton Railway 🚂, to the sleek heights of Sky100, every view around the harbor tells a different story - old and new, still and soaring.

I wandered past the Hong Kong Museum of Art, admired the reflections on K11 Musea, watched the red sails of the Dukling glide past the skyline - and then saw it all again from above, standing 393 meters high at the top of Sky100.

✨ Did you know? The Dukling is the last remaining original Chinese junk boat in Hong Kong, built in the 1950s - and still sailing today as a cultural icon of the harbor.

Inspired by classical Tang Dynasty garden design, this space invites you to slow down and notice - the curve of a bridge, the reflection of a pagoda, the rustle of leaves against gold-tiled roofs 🍃

✨ Did you know? Every element in the garden - from the layout to the trees and even the rocks - follows ancient Chinese landscaping principles, where nature is not just viewed but harmonized with. The golden Pavilion of Absolute Perfection is the centerpiece, and yes, it lives up to its name.

Amid the high-rises and the fast pace of Kowloon, the Chi Lin Nunnery feels like a deep breath - calm, balanced, and beautifully timeless 🧘‍♂️🌿

This Buddhist complex, built entirely in traditional Tang Dynasty style, uses no nails - only interlocking wood techniques that have stood the test of time. Every angle, every garden path, every lotus pond seems designed to bring the mind to stillness.

Right next door, the Nan Lian Garden extends the serenity, with manicured landscapes and winding stone paths. Together, they create a quiet sanctuary in the heart of the city - and one of my favorite spots in Hong Kong so far.

✨ Did you know? Chi Lin Nunnery was founded in 1934 and rebuilt in the 1990s using classical Chinese architectural methods. It's still a working monastery, home to Buddhist nuns who follow a life of meditation and simplicity.

Just a short walk from the towering Buddha and the drifting clouds of Lantau Island, the Po Lin Monastery offers a different kind of stillness - one that hums with incense, chanting, and quiet reverence 🕯️🌸

Founded in 1906 by three monks from Jiangsu, this sacred site has grown into one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Hong Kong. Bright red pillars, golden altars, and thousands of tiny Buddha statues make the halls feel both grand and deeply personal.

✨ Did you know? The name Po Lin means “Precious Lotus” - a symbol of purity in Buddhism. The monastery is also home to one of the world’s largest outdoor bronze seated Buddhas: the Tian Tan Buddha, which watches over the complex from above.

Even with tourists wandering through, there's a calm here that’s hard to explain - like the walls themselves are whispering prayers.

Inside Singapore’s Cloud Dome, mist rolls down a 35-meter indoor waterfall, rare orchids bloom in the air, and you climb walkways suspended in a glass mountain. ✨

🧠 Fun fact: The Cloud Dome recreates the ecosystem of tropical mountain regions between 1,000–3,000 meters - all under one sustainably cooled roof.

📍Located at Gardens by the Bay, this is one of the most otherworldly places I’ve ever visited.

The Ngong Ping Cable Car lifted us slowly above sea, trees, and sleepy villages… and just when the Tian Tan Buddha should have appeared in full view - the clouds rolled in.

A silhouette in the sky. Half-hidden. Quiet. Powerful.

Even without seeing it clearly, the presence of the Big Buddha was undeniable.
Sometimes, mystery makes the moment even more unforgettable.

✨ Did you know? At 34 meters tall (including base), the Tian Tan Buddha is one of the largest seated outdoor bronze Buddhas in the world. It faces north - a rare feature - to look over the Chinese people and offer protection.

Built in the mid-1800s, this temple is dedicated to Man (god of literature 📜) and Mo (god of war ⚔️) - a place where students once came to pray for success in imperial exams. Today, it still draws visitors seeking wisdom, clarity, and calm amid Hong Kong’s fast pace.

Inside, the air is thick with sandalwood. Giant spiral incense coils burn slowly overhead - each one a whispered wish drifting upward in swirls of smoke.

At the heart of it all stands the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, a striking red-and-gold sanctuary with Tang dynasty architecture and quiet reverence inside. The main hall glows with hundreds of golden Buddhas - each one serene, each one watching.

✨ Did you know? As the name suggests, the temple houses what is believed to be one of Buddha’s actual teeth 🦷, displayed in a stupa made from 320 kilograms of solid gold — visible only to monks and devotees.

Rising up to 50 meters high, these iconic giants aren’t just for show. They’re alive.
✨ The Supertrees are equipped with photovoltaic panels, collecting solar energy to power their own lights at night. Some even help with air circulation and rainwater collection - sustainability at its most futuristic. ☀️

By day, they’re lush with orchids, ferns, and tropical climbers 🌺🌴.

📸 Throwback to the charming streets and canals of Amsterdam! 🇳🇱 I took these shots a few years ago, and I’m still amazed by how timeless this city feels.

🚲 Did you know Amsterdam has more bikes than people? With over 800,000 residents and around 880,000 bicycles, it's one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world! And those iconic canal houses? Many are tilted because they were built on wooden poles driven into swampy ground — wild, right?

✨ The vibe, the architecture, the little cafés tucked away in narrow alleys… Amsterdam truly has its own magic.
